Behind the Lens

For me, it’s about recording what I see and communicating how I think. Having dabbled in many different art forms over the years, the visual world has always been important to me. Photography is just my way of showing how I view things from a different angle.
I love finding beauty in unexpected places, and that completely drives my client work. Everything is interesting, and everyone is beautiful and interesting in their own way.

My main goal is to keep you relaxed and having fun. I’ll give you clear direction and actions to focus on so you can completely avoid stiff, awkward poses. The best photographs usually come from those natural, in-between moments. That said, sometimes the weird movements look the best—so be prepared to laugh.
Whether you want a fluid, documentary-style session or a highly structured portrait with set poses, we can absolutely do that. At the end of the day, my job is to give you an experience you actually enjoy and photos you will love, no matter what specific outcome you need.

I’ve always been fascinated by the interplay between light and dark, and how heavy shadows can actually give form and mood to a photograph. Over the years, exploring different art mediums has shaped my eye, and I’m deeply influenced by classical techniques like chiaroscuro and tenebrism—using deep, rich darkness to make the subject really stand out.
For me, that high contrast brings out real character and emotion. That said, I also have a sense of realism. I know when to lean into the drama and when to pull back—deep, moody shadows and children's first communions don’t exactly go hand-in-hand! It’s all about matching the style to the moment.

I avoid chasing passing trends—I want to create photos that you will still love decades from now. I also explicitly avoid the typical "light and airy" aesthetic, choosing instead a style focused on texture, mood, and realism.
That means absolutely no forced smiles or stiff, artificial poses. I want to photograph who you actually are, and especially with kids, that involves embracing the chaos and letting their real personalities shine. As a mum myself, I know firsthand that those unscripted, chaotic moments are always the photos we treasure the most.

I rarely leave the house without my camera because I hate missing a great scene, but when it is put away, my days are a mix of editing, studying, and teaching English.
Teaching is fantastic because it's all about connecting with people, which translates perfectly to making people feel comfortable on a shoot. Aside from that, I'm a mum to two young boys, so there's always plenty of life and energy keeping me moving.
